Key takeaways
- The biggest categories in Kuwait's ads: fashion (3,498 ads), electronics (3,326), hair care (2,824), health (2,804) and watches (2,605).
- Prices are low in dinars: the median of all Kuwait ads is KWD 20, and hair and skin care are cheaper (KWD 17 and 14).
- An ad that lasts 30 days is rare: only 277 of 28,256 had run that long when we captured them, most of them in food, hair, perfumes and kids.
- Sales are private; the public signals are the number of ads, the number of pages and running time. Read them together before buying stock.
How we read "best-selling" from ads
An advertiser pays every day and stops an ad that brings no orders within days. So when you find thousands of ads for one category in Kuwait, hundreds of pages advertising in it, and dozens of ads lasting a month, someone is selling in it. Those are the three signals we measure from the Arabic ads shown in Kuwait in our third study.
An honest note: many ads mean demand and competition at once, and an ad is not a confirmed order. Which product sells most in a given store, only that store knows.
For Kuwait's overall picture (video, offers and buttons) read Trending in Kuwait; here we focus on categories, prices and the ads that lasted.
The biggest categories in Kuwait right now
Fashion and shoes first, then electronics, then hair care and health and supplements at close counts, then watches and accessories and perfumes. Note that one ad can fall in two categories (a watch gifted with a perfume, say), and that the top five are close: no category dominates Kuwait the way perfumes and abayas dominate parts of the Saudi market.
Each category is spread across many pages: 524 pages advertise fashion, 564 electronics, 486 hair care. That means a small store competes with its offer, not its budget.
The ads that lasted: the most honest signal
What is advertised is one thing and what sells is another; the difference is running time. Of 28,256 ads whose start date we know, only 277 had run 30 days or more when we captured them. Those lasting ads spread across categories like this:
| Category | Ads that had run 30 days or more | Out of |
|---|---|---|
| Food, coffee and dates | 31 | 1,806 |
| Hair care | 28 | 2,824 |
| Perfumes and incense | 27 | 2,208 |
| Kids and toys | 27 | 1,914 |
| Fashion and shoes | 19 | 3,498 |
| Watches and accessories | 18 | 2,605 |
| Electronics | 16 | 3,326 |
The meaning: fashion and electronics are advertised most, but food, hair and perfumes are the ones that keep their ads running a full month relative to their size. Repeat-purchase products last longer than fashion items that change with every season.

Prices per category in dinars
Kuwait is the "twenty dinar" market: the median of all priced ads is KWD 20, and half sit between KWD 12 and 46. Inside the categories:
| Category | Lower quartile | Median | Upper quartile | Priced ads |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Electronics | 15 | 23 | 45 | 316 |
| Perfumes and incense | 11 | 17 | 29 | 231 |
| Fashion and shoes | 11 | 16 | 29 | 145 |
| Watches and accessories | 12 | 18 | 25 | 160 |
| Health and supplements | 10 | 18 | 25 | 182 |
| Hair care | 7 | 17 | 26 | 116 |
| Skincare | 5 | 14 | 22 | 149 |
Figures in Kuwaiti dinars, from the ads that stated a price. Electronics are the priciest, hair and skin care the cheapest; between the two sits most of what is sold straight from an ad. Cash on delivery is mentioned in 37% of electronics ads and 37% of watch ads, against 14% of all Kuwait ads: the higher the price, the more the cash-on-delivery promise.
Who advertises most, and where the ads lead
The Advertisers screen in GccFY ranks Kuwait's pages by their number of ads, with what runs now and the store platform. The advertisers with the most ads are often stores testing dozens of products at once, so sort by longest running to see who actually sells:
WhatsApp without a store first, then Shopify, with Salla and Zid nearly absent: in selling platforms Kuwait is closer to the UAE than to Saudi Arabia. For Kuwaiti Shopify stores specifically read Shopify stores in Kuwait; for perfumes Kuwait perfume stores and fashion Kuwait fashion ads.
How to pick your product from this list
- Start from a category you know in the first chart, then type a specific product word («سماعات», not "electronics") with the Kuwait filter, "active" and the sort by longest running.
- Open the store pages behind the first five ads: the price in dinars, the offer, the payment method. That is your benchmark.
- Count the pages selling the same product: three or more means real demand, dozens means a crowded market.
- Price inside the category's range from the table above, or explain in the first line why you are pricier.
- Check the margin after ads, delivery and refused orders, as in Winning products, and compare with Saudi Arabia in Best sellers in Saudi Arabia.
