Key takeaways
- Kuwait National Day is 25 February and Liberation Day 26 February; start the ads in mid-February 2027 and prepare everything before that.
- Ramadan 1448 is expected around 8 February 2027: both national days fall inside the month, so the winning offer combines the national tone with the rhythm of Ramadan.
- Kuwait's baseline: a discount or an offer in 34% of the ads, a gift in 10%, cash on delivery in 14%.
- The Kuwaiti ad is video in 69% of cases and its first button is "Shop now" (42%): the occasion offer sells from the store, not from a chat.
The dates: 25 and 26 February, with Ramadan around them
Kuwait National Day is on 25 February, and Liberation Day the next day, 26 February. In 2027 the occasion lands in the busiest quarter of the year: Ramadan 1448 is expected astronomically around 8 February (the moon sighting decides), Saudi Founding Day is on 22 February, and Eid al-Fitr follows on 9 or 10 March. So the two national days most likely fall in the third week of Ramadan.
| Occasion | Date | Start ads | What it means for your store |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ramadan 1448 | Around 8 February 2027 (expected) | Early January | Buying rhythm changes: evenings after iftar are browsing time |
| Kuwait National Day | 25 February | Mid-February | Pride, gifts and gathering offers, for Kuwait only |
| Liberation Day | 26 February | With National Day | Two connected holiday days: one offer covers both |
| Eid al-Fitr | 9 or 10 March 2027 | Mid-Ramadan | Eid shopping starts days after the national days |
The rule we repeat in National day offers: start national occasion ads in mid-February, run the offer itself on the days of the occasion and around them, and end it on the stated date. The full calendar of the year is in Selling calendar 2027.
Two seasons in two weeks: combining Ramadan and National Day
A national day inside Ramadan is not a problem but an opportunity, as long as your ad understands the month's rhythm:
- Timing within the day: in Ramadan people browse after iftar until late at night. A National Day ad shown in the evening reaches an audience with time on its hands.
- Delivery before the two days: the buyer wants the gift, the outfit or the hosting set before 25 February. State the last order date that arrives in time, and say so if Ramadan delivery is slower.
- Products that serve both: hosting sets, sweets and coffee serve family iftars and National Day gatherings alike; gifts in the national colours serve the two days and then Eid after them.
- Do not mix the two messages in one line: one ad for the national occasion in a tone of pride and congratulation, another for Ramadan in a tone of hospitality. The same audience, but each ad with one reason to buy.
- Eid al-Fitr days later: whoever buys a National Day gift may come back for an Eid gift in March. Retarget those who engaged with the national ad with the Eid offer.

The baseline: what Kuwait's ads offer every day
Before writing the occasion offer, know what the market offers on ordinary days, because your offer is measured against it. From 28,283 Arabic ads shown in Kuwait, from 5,027 advertising pages:
A discount or an offer appears in 34% of the ads, "limited time" in 15%, cash on delivery in 14%, free delivery in 13%, a gift in 10%. Instalments are nearly absent (1%): the Kuwaiti buyer pays by card or on delivery. Of 2,295 ads that stated a price in dinars: the median is KWD 20, and half of the ads sit between KWD 12 and 46.
What that means for a National Day offer: a discount alone does not set you apart, since a third of the market offers one every day; a gift with the order and free delivery inside Kuwait are rarer promises that get noticed.

What sells in Kuwait, and what fits the occasion
Fashion and electronics lead the ad categories in Kuwait, then hair care, health and accessories, with perfume after them. Not every category suits a national offer, but most carry an angle:
- Fashion, abayas and kids: family and kids' sets in the flag's colours (green, white, red and black) for the celebrations, and abayas and dara'as for the occasions.
- Perfume and bakhoor: the first gift in the Gulf; a gift box in occasion packaging serves National Day and then Eid al-Fitr.
- Home and hosting: coffee and tea sets and sweets for receiving guests on the two days and at Ramadan iftars.
- Electronics and accessories: the offer here is a clear number and a warranty; the occasion is just the reason for the offer, not for changing the product.

Offer ideas for Kuwait National Day
- A meaningful number: 25% off on 25 February or 26% on Liberation Day, as long as the offer is real and the "before" price is one you actually sold at.
- A two-day offer: the two days are one connected holiday; an offer that starts on 25 and ends on 26 February is clearer than a "national week" offer that never ends.
- Occasion packaging: the same product with a card or packaging in the flag's colours, a limited edition people order as a gift.
- Free delivery inside Kuwait: a promise only 13% of the ads make today, so it stands out here.
- A gift with the order: a small piece carrying the congratulation, instead of an extra discount that eats the margin.
- Hosting and gathering: sets for the family and the diwaniya, sweets and coffee, because the two days are a gathering above all.
And target Kuwait alone: a Kuwaiti occasion offer means nothing to a buyer in Riyadh or Dubai, and wastes your budget. On symbols: the colours and the congratulation phrases are always a safe choice; check Kuwait's rules before using the flag or the official emblem in a commercial ad, and never put national symbols on things thrown away or stepped on.
Copy templates for Kuwait National Day ads
The first button in Kuwait is "Shop now" (42% of the ads), then "WhatsApp message" (22%) and "Order now" (17%). The occasion offer leads to the product page or the occasion collection in the store, not to a chat. The templates are our own wording, with an English gloss; replace the brackets:
| Angle | Copy (ours) |
|---|---|

More opening lines and templates in Arabic ad copy. And before you write, open Kuwait's ads in the library, sort them by longest running, and save the occasion offers that appear: what lasted last February tells you what will work next February.
