Key takeaways
- Ramadan 1448 is expected to start around 8 February 2027 and Eid al-Fitr on 9 or 10 March 2027; the final dates depend on the moon sighting.
- Start ads in early January 2027, with research and preparation in late December: four to six weeks before the month.
- Dates, coffee, hosting, abayas, perfumes and home before Ramadan and in its first days; then clothing, gifts, perfumes and sweets for Eid from mid-month.
- Family, hospitality and giving angles work better in Ramadan than hard urgency; start a "Ramadan" collection in GccFY now to compare against in January.
When does Ramadan 2027 start, and when should ads start?
The dates below are astronomical estimates; the final dates depend on the moon sighting:
| Occasion | Expected date | Start ads |
|---|---|---|
| Ramadan 1448 | Around 8 February 2027 | Early January 2027 |
| Eid al-Fitr | 9 or 10 March 2027 | Mid-Ramadan |
| Saudi Founding Day | 22 February | Early February |
| Kuwait National and Liberation Days | 25 and 26 February | Mid-February |
Note the overlap: if Ramadan starts around 8 February as expected, Saudi Founding Day (22 February) and Kuwait's national days (25 and 26 February) fall inside the month. A national-day offer this year needs a Ramadan tone: hospitality and family, not loud celebration. The full calendar of the year is in Gulf ad seasons.
What to advertise in each phase
In advertising, Ramadan is not one month but four phases, each with its own categories:
| Phase | Most advertised | Angle |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks before Ramadan | Dates and coffee, kitchen and hosting tools, home refresh, abayas and jalabiyas | Preparation: "get your home ready before the rush" |
| The first days | Food and hosting, daily offers | The family table and the guests |
| The last ten days | Clothing, perfumes, gifts and sweets | Eid shopping, delivery before Eid |
| Eid | Eid money (eidiya), gifts and post-Eid offers | Joy and the ready-made gift |
Each category has its own guide: dates, coffee and food ads, abaya ads and perfume and incense ads.
To know where you start, here is the market today, before the season: each category's current share of Arabic ads in the Gulf. Compare it with what you see in January to learn which category moves first.
A weekly plan from January to Eid
- Late December (about six weeks before Ramadan): search the ads of your category and country, and save the first Ramadan offers and angles that appear.
- First week of January: choose the products and the offer, and secure stock, the courier and delivery times. Launch the first ads.
- Second week of January: film the videos and write the copy in a Ramadan tone (family, hospitality, giving).
- Mid-January: test several ads on small budgets: different angles for the same product.
- Late January: stop the weak ads, scale the strongest, and prepare an "Eid" version of the winning ad.
- The last week before Ramadan: the peak of preparation ads: dates, coffee, hosting, abayas and home.
- The first days of Ramadan: daily offers on food and hosting. Review your ad schedule: browsing peaks after iftar until suhoor, and so should your WhatsApp reply hours.
- Mid-Ramadan: start the Eid ads: clothing, gifts, perfumes and sweets.
- The last ten days: Eid shopping at its peak: state the last order date that arrives before Eid, and watch competitors daily.
- Eid: eidiya and gifts, then post-Eid offers.
Costs rise as the month approaches and the market fills up; testing in January is not a luxury but the only way to enter Ramadan already knowing your winning ad.
Build a "Ramadan" collection in GccFY now
Seasonal ads disappear from the Meta library when they stop, so in February you cannot see what competitors tried in January and then stopped. In GccFY the ads stay saved, and you can gather them in a collection named "Ramadan 2027":

- Search one Arabic word from your category («تمر» dates, «قهوة» coffee, «عباية» abaya, «بخور» incense, «ضيافة» hosting) with your country's filter.
- Sort by longest running, and save what lasted into the collection with a note: the offer, the price, the payment method.
- Come back every week of January: add the new Ramadan ads, and note who started early and with which offer.
- After Eid, the same collection is your starting point for next Ramadan.

Wording Ramadan offers
Ramadan has its own tone: family, hospitality and giving work better than "hurry before it runs out". And if you write "limited stock", it should really be limited.
| Angle | Copy (ours) |
|---|---|
(Set your Ramadan table before the rush; product, origin and packaging; order by a date to receive it before the first day.) |
(Your guests deserve it: a coffee and dates set; price and delivery time.) |
(A Ramadan gift for your family, wrapped with a card in your name; cash on delivery.) |
(A light, comfortable Ramadan abaya for taraweeh prayers; all sizes; free exchange.) |
(Eid clothes delivered before Eid; order by a date; delivery to every city.) |
For electronics and appliances, "an easier iftar table" beats specs alone. More opening lines in Arabic ad copy.
