- WhatsApp first: 32% of home ads in Saudi Arabia lead to a chat with no store, and the "WhatsApp message" button is on 31%, the highest share of any category in the study in Saudi Arabia.
- Salla is second with 12%, and of the 457 home ads leading to Salla across the Gulf, 450 are Saudi.
- The median advertised price is SAR 250, the upper quartile starts at SAR 595, and instalments appear in only 7%.
- An open market: 1,179 pages share 3,897 ads, the most advertisers of the six categories in this series.
Home in Saudi Arabia: the biggest Gulf market, and the most spread out
Saudi Arabia is the biggest market for home ads in the Gulf: 3,897 of 12,275, followed by the UAE (3,285). The median price is about the same in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, but the way of selling is distinctly Saudi: a WhatsApp chat first, then a Salla store.
It is a market without giants: 3,897 ads from 1,179 pages, a handful of ads per advertiser. Compare that with fashion in Saudi Arabia: 5,926 ads from only 902 pages. In practice, a small showroom in Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam competes here with a good ad, not a huge budget. For the home category across the Gulf, read Home and furniture ads.
WhatsApp or Salla? Where furniture ads lead
32% of home ads in Saudi Arabia lead to a WhatsApp chat with no store, above the Saudi average (24%). Then Salla (12%), Shopify (5%), LightFunnels (2%) and Zid (2%).
Anyone who has sold furniture knows why: "will it fit through the door?", "do you have it in grey?", "how much is delivery to Al Kharj?", "who does the assembly?". A product page cannot answer these, so the advertiser takes the shortcut to the chat. A Salla store is for the small, ready pieces (lighting, organisers, bedding) that are bought without a question. When to choose WhatsApp and when the store: WhatsApp ads.
The buttons: "Shop now" on 37%, "WhatsApp message" on 31% against 23% in Saudi Arabia overall, and "Order now" on 16%.
Offers and payment: discounts, cash on delivery, and missed instalments
70% of home ads are video: real size, material and assembly do not show in a photo. The offers:
- A discount or an offer in 43%, above the Saudi average (34%).
- Cash on delivery in 15% (Saudi average 12%): the customer wants to see the piece before paying.
- Free delivery in 12%, a costly promise in a category with heavy shipping.
- Instalments in 7%, above the Saudi average (4%) but low for a category where a quarter of the priced ads start at SAR 595. This is the clearest opportunity in the market.
The copy is longer than usual: a median of 76 words against 45 for Saudi ads, because sizes, materials and delivery times get written down. What each signal means: Ad offers in numbers.
Prices, and who advertises
Of 463 Saudi home ads that stated a price in riyals: the lower quartile up to SAR 119, the median 250, the upper quartile from SAR 595. The median is above that of all Saudi ads (SAR 199): a direct ad sells the mid-sized piece (a rug, a side table, a bedding set), while sofas and full bedrooms mostly go to the chat.

The furniture ads that have run for weeks in Saudi Arabia

In a category full of small advertisers, running time is the most honest signal: a showroom that leaves its ad on for weeks is getting orders. Open the first ads in this sort and note for each: the piece, whether it was filmed in a real home or the showroom, and whether the button leads to WhatsApp or a store. How to read running time.
Practical steps and copy templates for a furniture store
- Search "أثاث", "كنب" or "سجاد" with the Saudi filter, sorted by longest running, then open the store page or WhatsApp number behind each ad.
- Choose the path by the piece: small pieces to your store with "Shop now", large ones to WhatsApp with a ready reply listing sizes, colours and the delivery price for each city.
- Put size, material and delivery time in the copy itself: they are the first three questions.
- Add instalments to every piece above the median, and mention them in the first line.
- Prepare "refresh your home" offers weeks before Ramadan (around 8 February 2027) and White Friday offers for 27 November 2026.
| Angle | Copy (ours) |

| Delivery and assembly | "Delivery and assembly within [city] in [time], and you pay on delivery after you see the piece." |
| Instalments | "A full bedroom for SAR [price], or [count] payments with no interest. Order today and it arrives before [date]." |
| Refresh | "Refresh your majlis before Ramadan: a [size] rug for SAR [price], [percent] off until [date]." |
