What abaya ads do right now
From 2,592 recent abaya ads in the Gulf:
- Video: 69%, and carousel 12%: the highest carousel share of the categories we write about, because a collection is shown colour by colour.
- A discount or an offer: 32%; urgency ("limited collection") 22%.
- Free delivery: 16%, above cash on delivery (12%). An abaya is bought prepaid from a known store, and free delivery is what gets mentioned.
- Instalments: 9%, the highest category in the study (the Gulf average is 3%). A three-hundred-riyal abaya gets split.
- A gift: only 9%. The category sells by the model, not by the gift.
- Length: a median of 35 words, the shortest in the whole study (the Gulf average is 60).
- Price: 276 ads stated a price; the median is SAR 250, and half of the prices sit between 75 and 320.
"Shop now" to a store that holds the collection, or "Order now" to a single model's page. WhatsApp (12%) for made-to-measure sellers whose buyers need to ask. How to choose the button: Best CTA button.
Abaya ads in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the category's biggest market (1,400 ads from 295 pages), and most of its stores are on Salla (848 of the 1,400 ads). The copy is shorter (a median of 30 words), discounts run below the category average (25%), cash on delivery is rare (8%), and instalments are at 10%. Prices are higher: a median of SAR 293, with half of the prices between 196 and 499. The "Order now" button is on 30% of the ads: a model's page in a Salla store with a quick order.

Ten ready ad texts for abayas
The texts are our own wording, not copied from anyone's ad. All of them are short on purpose, at the length the category actually writes. Put the real fabric, price and sizes in the brackets. The Arabic is the ad; the English in parentheses is a gloss.
| Angle | Copy (ours) |
|---|---|
(The [season] collection is out: [count] models in [fabric], sizes 50 to 60; [percent] off for the first [count] days.) |
([Type] crepe that does not crease, is not sheer and does not hold dust; the [model] abaya at [price], free delivery.) |
(Your work abaya: a comfortable cut, [type] sleeves, machine washable; price; delivered within [time].) |
(The Eid abaya with hand embroidery on the sleeves and a matching shayla; order before [date] so it arrives before Eid.) |
(The [model] abaya at [price], or 4 payments with Tabby and Tamara at no extra cost; your size from 50 to 60 is in stock.) |
(Worried about the size? The size chart is on the page, and exchange is free within [period]; order now.) |
(Free delivery across the Kingdom on orders above [amount]; two abayas for [price] instead of [old price].) |
| Made to measure (WhatsApp) | «تفصيل على مقاسك خلال [المدة]: أرسلي طولك ومقاسك على واتساب ونرسل لك الأقمشة المتوفرة والأسعار.» (Made to your measure within [time]: send your height and size on WhatsApp and we send the available fabrics and prices.) |
(Abaya, shayla and headscarf in one set at [price]; [count] colours, limited quantity per colour.) |
(The travel abaya: light, no ironing, folds into the bag; price; fast delivery in [city].) |
The video that goes with the text: a model walking with the fabric moving, then a close-up of the embroidery and buttons, then the price written on screen. The season dates (Ramadan and Eid) behind the "occasion" angle are in Ramadan 2027 ads. Templates for other categories in Arabic ad copy.
Mistakes that sink an abaya ad
- Long copy: the category writes a median of 35 words. A paragraph about "elegance and luxury" delays the price and the size, which is what the buyer is looking for.
- An abaya on a hanger: fabric sells by movement. 69% of the ads are video, and the carousel is for the collection.
- Sizes not stated: "all sizes" with no range and no size chart opens the door to questions and returns. Write the range and the length.
- Ignoring instalments: the highest category for "split it" (9%), and a store on Salla or Zid usually supports it. Mention it in the copy when the price passes two hundred riyals.
- Cash on delivery as the only promise: mentioned in only 12% of abaya ads; free delivery and free exchange are stronger in this category.
- "Limited collection" every week: the buyer follows the store and knows. State the real count or drop the urgency.
- A button to the home page: an ad for a model leads to the model's page, not the storefront.
How to study the longest-running abaya ads in GccFY
Abayas are a category where ads live long: the Meta Ad Library holds abaya ads that started more than a year ago and are still active. A store paying for the same ad for a year is telling you the copy and the model sell. In GccFY:
- Pick the abayas category and Saudi Arabia (or your country), or search «عباية» or «عبايات».
- Status active, sort by longest running.
- Read the short texts in the details: what did they put in the few words? Fabric, price, sizes or instalments?
- Open the store page behind the ad: does the button lead to the model itself? What are the price and the payment options on the page?
- In the Advertisers screen search «عباية» and sort by most ads: who tests most, and how many ads they run.
