Key takeaways
- White Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November (the last Friday of November); offers start a week or more earlier, and many stores run them to Cyber Monday, 30 November.
- Test in late October and early November, use 11.11 (11 November) as a live test, then scale in White Friday week.
- On a normal day a discount or an offer is already in 38% of Gulf ads: a White Friday discount has to be clearer and bigger.
- A fake "before" price is the fastest way to lose trust, and it breaks the rules: state the price you actually sold at.
When is White Friday 2026?
| Occasion | Date | Start ads |
|---|---|---|
| 11.11 | 11 November 2026 | Early November |
| Oman National Day | 20 and 21 November | Mid-November |
| White Friday | Friday 27 November 2026 | Mid-November |
| Cyber Monday | 30 November 2026 | With White Friday |
| UAE National Day | 2 December | Late November |
White Friday is the last Friday of November, and many stores stretch it to a week or more. In Oman and the UAE it is surrounded by their national days, so buyers there see offer after offer: plan one clear offer instead of three overlapping ones (national day offers). And for next year: White Friday 2027 falls on Friday 26 November 2027. The full calendar is in Gulf ad seasons.
A four-week plan
- Week one (late October and early November): research and test. Search the ads of your category and country, and save competitors' first offers. Launch several ads on small budgets: one product with different angles (the discount, the gift, free delivery).
- Week two (around 11.11): the live test. 11 November is a small discount season, especially in electronics and beauty: try the offer format you plan to use, and watch which angle brings orders, not just clicks. Prepare stock and delivery.
- Week three (mid-November): launch. Offers start a week or more before White Friday. Stop the weak ads, launch the White Friday version of the winning ad, and start raising the budget step by step.
- Week four (the week of 27 November): scale. The highest budget on the winning ads only, fast WhatsApp replies, and daily competitor watching through Cyber Monday, 30 November. Then stop the "White Friday" ads as soon as the offer ends.
Ad competition rises as the day approaches, so an ad you only start testing in late November costs more and gives you less time. That is why testing starts now.

What Gulf ads offer today
Before you choose your offer, know the baseline: what ads offer on a normal day. From our study of the newest 160,000 Arabic ads (2026-10-24 to 2026-11-03):
| Offer type | Share of ads today | What it means for White Friday |
|---|---|---|
| A discount or an offer | 38% | Discounts are normal in the Gulf; yours must be clearer, bigger and in the first line. |
| Urgency ("limited time", "hurry") | 18% | Fair on White Friday, because the offer really is limited by a date. |
| Cash on delivery | 16% | Reassures the new buyer who sees your store for the first time. |
| Free delivery | 12% | Adds value to the offer without touching the price. |
| A gift | 10% | Less common, so it sets you apart and lifts basket value. |
| Instalments (Tabby, Tamara) | 3% | Rare, and useful for pricier goods such as electronics. |
In the categories that lead White Friday, about half the ads or more mention a discount even on a normal day: electronics (57%), fashion (53%), makeup (51%) and perfumes (49%). In these categories, saying "discount" is not enough: say how much, on what, and until when. Each offer in detail in Ad offers in numbers.
Copy templates for White Friday
Our own wording in Arabic, with an English gloss; adapt it to your real product and offer:
| Angle | Copy (ours) |
|---|---|
(White Friday: the product at the new price instead of the old; until a given day only; free delivery.) |
(Buy [n], pay for [n]: White Friday offer on the whole category until a given day.) |
(A gift with every order above an amount; the offer ends on a given day.) |
(The White Friday price, split into payments with Tabby or Tamara, interest-free.) |
(Original with a warranty, cash on delivery; White Friday price until a given day.) |
The rule: the number in the first line and on the image, because buyers compare numbers this season. More templates in Arabic ad copy.
Mistakes that cost trust and budget
- A fake "before" price: raising the price before the season and then "discounting" it is spotted by buyers, hurts trust and breaks the rules. State the price you actually sold at.
- Fake urgency: "last pieces" on a product with plenty of stock. Buyers recognise fake urgency.
- Starting late: whoever starts testing in White Friday week pays the highest cost and never learns their winner.
- Stock and delivery not ready: late orders turn the offer into bad reviews.
- A discount that eats the margin: work out the profit after the discount, ad cost, shipping and returns before announcing the percentage.
- "White Friday" ads in December: stop them as soon as the offer ends, or turn them into the next occasion's offer.
