The largest category in the country
Hair care takes 16% of all the Arabic ads that targeted Oman in the study, followed by health (15%), then watches and electronics. Oman is the only Gulf country where hair comes first; elsewhere fashion or watches lead. Oman alone holds 19% of all the hair ads in the Gulf.
And the market is fairly concentrated: 387 pages for 3,549 ads, more ads per page than the Omani market as a whole (4,041 pages for 21,621 ads). Hair advertisers test many versions of the same ad. For the Gulf picture read the hair care ads guide; for every category in Oman, Trending in Oman.

The offers: before-and-after video, discounts and cash on delivery
Video on 88% of hair ads in Oman, more than Saudi Arabia (79%) and the Omani market as a whole (77%): hair sells on the result, and the result is seen before and after. A discount or an offer on 60%, "limited time" on 33%, a gift on 19% (buy two, get the third free, or a comb with the oil).
Cash on delivery on 34%, higher than hair across the Gulf (23%), free delivery on 13%, and instalments almost absent (1%): the product is cheap and the buyer wants to see the box before paying.
Long copy: the ad is the sales page
The median hair ad in Oman runs 210 words, against 138 for hair ads across the Gulf and only 82 for all the ads in Oman. Emojis appear on 92% of them. The ad explains the problem (hair fall, thin patches, split ends), lists the ingredients, answers the objections, then gives the offer and the price.
This is the dropshipping page style: the ad does the work of the product page. If you write for this market, do not cut it short, but structure it: a first line that stops the scroll, then short paragraphs with clear emojis. How to pick the copy length: Copy length and emojis.
Where the ads lead: a landing page, not a store
Among the platforms we recognise, LightFunnels comes first: 7% of hair ads in Oman lead to a one-product landing page, then WhatsApp without a store 10%, and Shopify and YouCan 1% each. Across the Omani market WhatsApp comes first (29%); hair is the exception that sells through a page, not a chat. How the platforms differ: Salla, Zid and Shopify.
The buttons: "Shop now" on 73%, "Learn more" on 6%, "Order now" on 7%, and "WhatsApp message" on only 9%, against 27% for all the ads in Oman.
Prices in Omani rials
Of 119 ads that stated a price in Omani rials (a small sample): the lower quartile up to OMR 12, the median 19, the upper quartile from OMR 56. For comparison, Kuwait in dinars: 9, 17 and 25.
The upper quartile sits far from the median because the category mixes a single bottle of oil, full treatment bundles and styling tools. And the Omani ad travels a little: 6% of it also runs in the UAE, 5% in Qatar and 5% in Kuwait. For the Omani market in every category: Advertising in Oman.
The hair ads that lasted, and copy templates for Muscat and Salalah

- Open this sort and try other words ("زيت" oil, "تساقط" hair fall, "سيروم" serum, "مكواة" straightener): what has run for weeks shows you the product and the angle.
- Film a real before-and-after with a clear time span: the category rests on it.
- Write long, structured copy: the problem, the ingredients, how to use it, the offer.
- State cash on delivery and delivery to every governorate: they are the buyer's first questions.
