Key takeaways
- Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on 9 or 10 March 2027, with Ramadan 1448 starting around 8 February 2027; the final dates depend on the moon sighting.
- Start Eid ads from mid-Ramadan, not in the last ten days; and put the last order date that arrives before Eid in the ad.
- What sells for Eid: clothing, gifts, perfumes and sweets. A gift is mentioned in 10% of Gulf ads overall, in 18% of perfume ads, 20% of fashion ads and 13% of food ads.
- An "Eid" version of your winning Ramadan ad beats a brand-new one; after Eid come eidiya and post-Eid offers.
When is Eid al-Fitr 2027, and when should its ads start?
The dates below are astronomical estimates; the final dates depend on the moon sighting:
| Occasion | Expected date | Start ads |
|---|---|---|
| Ramadan 1448 | Around 8 February 2027 | Early January 2027 |
| Saudi Founding Day | 22 February | Early February |
| Kuwait National and Liberation Days | 25 and 26 February | Mid-February |
| Eid al-Fitr | 9 or 10 March 2027 | Mid-Ramadan |
The difference between Eid and Ramadan in advertising is the deadline: the Ramadan buyer shops all month, the Eid buyer wants the order at home before Eid morning. So Eid ads start from mid-Ramadan, peak in the last ten days, and are ruled by one line: the last order date that arrives before Eid. Note too that Saudi Founding Day and Kuwait's national days fall inside Ramadan this year if it starts as expected, so their offers take a Ramadan tone (National day offers). The whole month with its weekly plan from January is in Ramadan 2027 ads, and the yearly calendar in Gulf ad seasons and Selling calendar 2027.
What sells for Eid al-Fitr
Four categories carry Eid: clothing (Eid outfits for adults and children, abayas, jalabiyas and thobes), gifts (eidiya, gift sets, accessories), perfumes and incense, and sweets and hosting (Eid sweets, coffee and chocolate, serving sets). Here is the market today, outside the season: each category's share of Arabic ads in the Gulf, to compare with what you see in late February.
Eid changes the angle, not only the category: the same perfume is advertised in Ramadan as preparation for the month, and in the last ten days as a wrapped gift with a delivery date. Fashion, which sells on discounts all year (53% of its ads mention one), sells at Eid on "arrives before Eid". And food moves from the iftar table to sweet boxes and gifts.

The gift in ads: where is it mentioned most?
The gift is the first promise of Eid, and outside the season it is a relatively rare one: 10% of Gulf ads mention it. But its share varies a lot between categories:
| Category | Mention a gift | A discount or an offer | Limited offer / hurry | Free delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Makeup | 30% | 51% | 34% | 15% |
| Watches and accessories | 26% | 64% | 28% | 38% |
| Kids and toys | 25% | 40% | 21% | 10% |
| Fashion and shoes | 20% | 53% | 36% | 20% |
| Perfumes and incense | 18% | 49% | 25% | 12% |
| Food, coffee and dates | 13% | 42% | 17% | 9% |
| All Gulf ads | 10% | 38% | 18% | 14% |
The gift in makeup (30%), accessories (26%) and kids (25%) is usually a "gift with the order", an offer to lift basket value. In perfumes (18%) it is the product itself as a wrapped gift, the natural Eid angle. Food (13%) is above the average outside the season, and it is the category where "gift box" jumps in the last ten days. What the table cannot show is the Eid season itself; so save this year's Eid ads to read them before the next Eid. Every promise in numbers: Ad offers in numbers.
The last weeks: from mid-Ramadan to after Eid
- First week of Eid ads (mid-Ramadan): launch the "Eid" version of your winning Ramadan ad: the same product with the outfit or gift angle and a delivery date. Test two or three angles on small budgets. Check stock by size and colour, and the courier's schedule over the Eid days.
- Second week (before the last ten days): stop the weak ads and scale the strongest. Write in the ad the last order date that arrives before Eid for each country, and start set offers and gift wrapping.
- The last ten days: the peak of Eid shopping and of ad costs. Urgency here is honest: the date is real. Browsing peaks after iftar until suhoor, so review your ad schedule and your WhatsApp reply hours. Watch competitors daily.
- The last three days before Eid: drop the "arrives before Eid" promise once it is no longer possible, and switch the ad to store pickup, same-day delivery inside the city, or a digital gift card.
- The Eid days: eidiya and ready gifts, and offers on what is left in stock. Lower budgets, less competition.
- The week after Eid: post-Eid offers, and archive every ad of the season in a saved collection to start from for Eid al-Adha (around 17 May 2027) and next Ramadan.
The governing rule: the closer Eid gets, the higher the cost and the fewer the days delivery can still make. An Eid ad launched in mid-Ramadan gets tested and improved before every day becomes expensive.

Eid ad templates (our wording)
The Eid tone is joy, a gift and a date, not shouted discounts. The deadline is written honestly, from the courier's settings, not from wishful thinking.

Build an "Eid al-Fitr" collection in GccFY
Eid ads disappear from the Meta library when they stop after Eid. In GccFY they stay saved, so gather them in a collection named "Eid al-Fitr 2027" and come back to it before Eid al-Adha and before next Eid:
- From mid-Ramadan search "العيد" (Eid), "كسوة" (outfit) or "هدية العيد" (Eid gift) with your country filter, and sort by longest running.
- Save what lasted into the collection with a note: the angle, the price, the delivery date stated.
- Come back every two days in the last ten days: who started early, who changed the offer, who stopped.
- After Eid, the same collection is your starting point for Eid al-Adha 2027.
