Key takeaways
- Qatar National Day is on 18 December, and its offer ads start in early December, after UAE National Day (2 December) and before Bahrain National Day (16 December).
- Qatar ads today: a discount or an offer in 34% of them, cash on delivery in 17%, free delivery in 14%, a gift in 9%.
- About a fifth of Qatar's ads also run in the UAE (19%) and Kuwait (19%): the national day offer needs an ad for Qatar alone.
- The median advertised price is QAR 211, and the biggest niches are fashion, watches and electronics; perfumes and watches are the closest gift niches.
The date, and when the ads start
Qatar National Day falls on 18 December every year. The rule in the Gulf national days guide: Qatar's ads start in early December, and the offer itself runs on the days of the occasion and around them.
December 2026 is crowded in the Gulf: UAE National Day on 2 December, then Bahrain National Day on 16 December, then Qatar on 18 December, and White Friday on 27 November before all of them. A practical schedule for a store selling in Qatar:
| Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
| Until late November | Search Qatar ads sorted by longest running, save past occasion offers, and prepare packaging, stock and delivery inside Qatar. |
| 27 November | White Friday with its own offer and copy, without mentioning the national day. |
| Early December | Launch the national day ads in several versions on a small budget, for Qatar alone. |
| From 14 December | Scale the strongest version and promise gift delivery before 18 December. |
| 18 and 19 December | The peak of the offer, then end it on its stated date. |
The full calendar, with Ramadan and both Eids in 2027, is in Gulf ad seasons.
What Qatar ads offer today
The baseline a national day offer has to beat: a discount or an offer in 34% of ordinary Qatar ads, "limited time" in 14%, free delivery in 14%, a gift in 9%. Cash on delivery in 17%, more than in the UAE, and instalments almost absent (2%).
Video in 70% of the ads, and the button is "Shop now" on 41%, "WhatsApp message" on 22% and "Order now" on 16%. Selling over WhatsApp without a store leads 24% of the ads, Shopify 12%. The whole Qatari market, copy and prices included: Advertising in Qatar.

Why the offer needs a Qatar-only ad
Many ads shown in Qatar are not shown there alone: 19% of them also run in the UAE, 19% in Kuwait and 17% in Bahrain. One Gulf-wide ad works for a price offer, but a Qatar National Day offer means nothing to a buyer in Kuwait, and looks odd in Bahrain, which celebrates its own day two days earlier.
- A separate ad set for Qatar in Ads Manager, with its own budget and copy.
- Copy in Qatari terms, not generic Gulf copy: the greeting names Qatar, and delivery is "inside Qatar", not "inside the Gulf".
- Do not reuse another occasion's colours: the Eid Al Etihad ad you ran in the UAE is not republished in Qatar with only the date changed.

The niches that fit Qatar National Day
Qatar's biggest niches in the ads are fashion (14%), watches (12%) and electronics (11%), then health, home and hair with similar shares. The occasion is one of gifts and gatherings, so the closest niches are:
- Perfumes (7%, median price QAR 211): the first gift of the occasion, and a gift appears in 11% of their ads.
- Watches and accessories (median QAR 258): the heavy-offer niche in Qatar, with cash on delivery in 51% of its ads and free delivery in 43%; an edition in the occasion's colours sets you apart from them.
- Fashion and kids: pieces in the national colours for adults and children for the day out and the photos; a gift appears in 21% of kids' ads.
- Home and hosting (10%): decor and hosting sets for the family gathering; a fifth of its ads lead to WhatsApp (21%).

Offer ideas and copy templates (our wording)
- Occasion packaging: the same product in a box or with a card in the occasion's colours, an edition that ends on 19 December.
- A gift with the order instead of a discount that eats the margin.
- Free delivery inside Qatar with a guaranteed arrival before 18 December.
- A gathering bundle: hosting sets, sweets and family gifts.
- A meaningful number: only if the offer is real and the "before" price honest.

National symbols, and the mistake people remember
- Colours and phrases are always a safe choice; for the flag and the official emblem in a commercial ad, check the country's rules first.
- No national symbols on things thrown away or stepped on, no images of leaders and no official logos without explicit permission.
- Do not mix occasions: Bahrain on 16 December and Qatar on 18 December; each country gets its own ad and colours.
- Pride, not jokes, and end the offer on time.
