Key takeaways
- UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) is on 2 December, and its offer ads start in late November, right after White Friday (27 November 2026).
- UAE ads today: a discount or an offer in 40% of them, "limited time" in 20%, a gift in 9%, cash on delivery in only 15%.
- The median advertised price is AED 299, and the biggest niches are hair care, fashion and watches: the gift niches fit the occasion best.
- Target the UAE alone, use the national colours and phrases rather than official symbols, and end the offer on its stated date.
The date, and when the ads start
UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) falls on 2 December every year. The rule we explained in the Gulf national days guide: Eid Al Etihad ads start in late November, and the offer itself runs on the days of the occasion and around them.
The complication in 2026 is White Friday on 27 November, five days before Eid Al Etihad. Do not mix the two in one ad: White Friday is a price offer, Eid Al Etihad is an offer of belonging and gifts. A practical schedule:
| Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
| Until mid-November | Search UAE ads sorted by longest running, save the occasion offers that appear from past seasons, and prepare packaging and stock. |
| 27 November | White Friday: the price offer, with its own copy and designs. |
| 28 November to 1 December | Launch the Eid Al Etihad ads in several versions on a small budget, and stop the White Friday versions. |
| 2 and 3 December | Scale the strongest version, then end the offer on its stated date. |
The full seasons calendar, with Ramadan and both Eids in 2027, is in Gulf ad seasons.
What UAE ads offer today
These numbers come from ordinary UAE ads, outside any occasion, and they are the baseline an Eid Al Etihad offer has to beat: a discount or an offer in 40% of the ads, "limited time" or "hurry" in 20%, free delivery in 12%, a gift in 9%. Cash on delivery is mentioned in only 15%, instalments in 4%: the Emirati market pays online more than Oman and Qatar do.
The dominant format is video (71% of the ads), and the button is "Shop now" on 39% and "WhatsApp message" on 31%. A plain discount with no occasion will not stand out in December; what sets an Eid Al Etihad offer apart is its tie to the occasion: packaging, a gift, delivery inside the country, and a sincere greeting.

The niches that fit Eid Al Etihad
The biggest UAE niches in today's ads are hair care (12%), fashion (12%), watches (10%) and health (10%). But a national occasion is a gifts-and-gatherings occasion, so the closest niches are:
- Perfumes (8% of the ads, median price AED 179): the first gift of any Gulf occasion, and a gift already appears in 17% of their ads.
- Watches and accessories (median AED 200): an edition in the occasion's colours gets ordered as a gift; cash on delivery appears in 38% of their ads.
- Fashion (median AED 100): pieces in the national colours for adults and children, since the day is a day out and a day of photos. The market in detail: UAE fashion ads.
- Food and sweets (8%): hosting sets, dates and sweets for the family gathering.
- Home (8%): decor and lighting in the national colours for homes and offices.

Honest offer ideas for Eid Al Etihad
- Occasion packaging: the same product in a box or with a card in the occasion's colours, a limited edition that ends on 3 December.
- A gift with the order instead of a discount that eats the margin: a small piece with a greeting, or a sample of another product.
- Free delivery inside the UAE on the days of the occasion, with a clear arrival date before 2 December for gift buyers.
- A family gathering bundle: three pieces for one price, or a hosting set, because the day is a holiday and a gathering.
- A meaningful number: a discount tied to the occasion only if the offer is real and the "before" price is one you actually sold at.
- The local product: what is made in the UAE deserves to say it was made here.
And target the UAE alone in the campaign settings: an Eid Al Etihad offer means nothing to a buyer in Kuwait or Saudi Arabia, and wastes your budget.

Put the offer in the first line, state the day it ends, and publish two or three versions with different angles and let the market choose.
National symbols, and the mistakes people remember
- Colours and phrases are always a safe choice; for the flag and the official emblem in a commercial ad, check the country's rules first.
- No national symbols on things thrown away or stepped on: bags, doormats, floors.
- No images of leaders and no official logos in a commercial ad without explicit permission.
- Do not mix countries: another country's colours on an Eid Al Etihad offer is a mistake everyone notices.
- Pride, not jokes: greetings and belonging work; a joke about the occasion does not.
- End the offer on time: an Eid Al Etihad offer that runs to mid-December loses its meaning.
