Skincare stores in Saudi Arabia: which platform they sell on, at what price, and how they differ from the UAE

These are the numbers of the Saudi skincare market on its own. We read 3,138 recent Arabic ads for serum, sunscreen, brightening and cleansers targeting Saudi Arabia, from 713 advertiser pages, between 2026-10-25 and 2026-11-06. What sets Saudi Arabia apart: the category is smaller than in the UAE, sales are split almost evenly between three destinations (WhatsApp, Salla, Shopify) instead of WhatsApp's dominance in Dubai, and the median price sits near the Saudi market median rather than above it as in the UAE. Three close destinations: WhatsApp, Salla, Shopify

This is the clearest difference between skincare in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In Saudi Arabia, WhatsApp without a store 20%, Salla 18%, Shopify 15%, LightFunnels 8% and Zid 3%. In the UAE, WhatsApp alone is 34%. Shopify's share here is twice its share of Saudi ads overall (8%): skincare brands selling in more than one Gulf country choose Shopify, local stores choose Salla. Of the 579 skincare ads leading to Salla in the whole Gulf, 562 are in Saudi Arabia.

The buttons: "Shop now" on 42%, "Order now" on 24% (above the Saudi average of 20%: the button of the single-product page), and "WhatsApp message" on 19% against 32% in the UAE. "Book now" on <1%: the trace of clinics among the advertisers, small here.

Offers and payment

68% of Saudi skincare ads are video, above the Saudi average (62%) but below the category across the Gulf (76%) and below the UAE (75%). Images are 19%, and dynamic (catalogue) ads 10%: stores with a large range show the whole catalogue. Then the offer:

  • A discount or an offer in 38%, close to the Saudi average (35%) and below the category across the Gulf (46%): skincare in Saudi Arabia is sold by explanation more than by discount.
  • Cash on delivery in 19%, above the Saudi average (12%): a new product needs trust. Free delivery in 15%.
  • A gift in 14% (Saudi average 8%): a sample or a third piece with the routine.
  • Instalments in 6%, above the category across the Gulf (3%): devices and pricier bundles.

The text is medium length: a median of 63 words against 44 in Saudi Arabia overall.

Prices in riyals: near the market median

Of 363 ads that stated a price in riyals: the lower quartile up to SAR 149, the median 199, the upper quartile from SAR 310. The median is close to the median of Saudi ads overall (SAR 196) and to the category's Gulf median (199), while in the UAE the median is AED 300 and the upper quartile starts at AED 699. A skincare product in Saudi Arabia is priced as an ordinary product, not a luxury one.

The working rule is the same in both countries: below the median, sell from a store page with a "Shop now" button; above it, open a chat, because an expensive product is sold by answering "does it suit my skin?".

The skincare ads that lasted in Saudi Arabia

Sort the library by longest running with the Saudi filter, and note for every ad that lasted: the problem (pigmentation, acne, dryness), the product type (serum, sunscreen, a three-step routine), the destination (store or chat), and the price on the store page behind the ad. Repeat with "سيروم" (serum), "واقي شمس" (sunscreen) and "تفتيح" (brightening). How to read running time.

An honest note on the numbers: the "skincare" group is built from words in the ad text (skin, serum, sunscreen, brightening, acne, moisturising, cleanser), and it overlaps with its neighbours: 28% of its ads also mention hair, 23% fall in health and supplements (collagen and skin vitamins), 12% in makeup, and it holds some clinics. Think of your competitor as a "beauty store", not a "serum store", and narrow your search with your own product word.
